This was one of the best Sunday lunches, the food was exceptional as was the service. This is also a dog friendly pub and we will definitely be back even though we live 1.5 hours away.

Beautiful meal but poor service at the tables, they needed clearing away after we finished our meal to enjoy our coffee.

There was a towel placed on the floor under the curtain to absorb water from the leaking radiator . Unfortunately water had soaked into the carpet making it extremely uncomfortable when walking barefoot. The bed was comfortable - no complaints. The bathroom was clean and had all necessary items. However, the standard of workmanship with regard to decor was disappointing - paint spots on the floor - smudged woodwork and uneven tiling. The tea making facility was adequate- no complaints. Obviously the room is located next to a main road making it a little noisy. When I checked out I informed the person on the desk about the radiator. Unfortunately there was no response. Very disappointing!

Had lunch at this venue Sat 19th February and found it really warm and inviting. Food was delicious, service excellent and friendly. An overall enjoying experience in a lovely setting!

Simply wonderful!! I was looking for a change in work hotel when in this neck of the woods and what can I say, I landed on my feet. The owner Sean was welcoming and friendly. The food was perfect, both in the evening and breakfast. The bed was comfy, the room spacious, and it had a fabulously large bath to enjoy at the end of a long day. This is most definitely my new favourite when I'm working in this area. Thank you.

Really good traditional Sunday lunch. I had not been inspired to go before because of its position on the main road but will definitely return. Excellent value too.

Free parking available. We went for breakfast. It was nice. We had a relaxing breakfast, no rush. Bottomless tea and coffee included.

Fantastic 2 night stay. Cosy, comfortable room. Excellent food and service. Brilliant atmosphere. Can't recommend this amazing place enough.

So we finally got to go here in May this year when we had just got married. We had a fantastic meal and a complimentary cheese board that was divine! I meant to do a review and forgot totally….we went back Saturday and this time I just had to do a review! The service is friendly and the waiting staff are lovely. The food is exceptionally good, I had pork loin with a cream sauce and the hubby had fish and chips. Both weee cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! We had waffles and clafoutis for desert which was mind blowing! Love this place and it’s not expensive. If you haven’t been yet GO NOW lol it’s delicious! Five stars all the way
